LED Dimmable Lamp Socket Review by poolman
Price Value Quality I recently bought one of these for a reading floor lamp - a designer Mendzabal lamp picked up several years ago at an antique shop. The original had a dimmer socket that work well with LED bulbs, but it eventually failed. I bought the 80/1064 socket as a replacement. Unfortunately, due to the minimalist style of the lamp, it couldn't be installed as delivered. There was minimal clearance between the socket shell and the lamp housing which prevented assembly of the threaded socket housing ring as required by the socket design. I was able to use the Satco internals to fix the lamp by reusing an old snap together housing style lamp housing. The Satco dimmer now works fine! (Posted on 11/1/2021)
